Before becoming a leadership coach, Olana’s professional experience includes over 15 years of experience holding executive positions at many technology companies; including Netscape, America Online, Google, and Kiva.

Her deep experience in management allows Olana to help companies evolve their business models, management frameworks, and align their executive teams. Olana’s passion for effective leadership comes from recognizing that all good companies need to evolve and change in order to remain adaptive. Business leaders rely on Olana to scale their organizational excellence, while still preserving their unique culture.

Olana is a frequent speaker on gender issues.

Olana has extensive Board leadership experience, and loves a good governance project. Olana is currently Chairperson of the Sama Group, Vice-Chair and Audit Chair of The Philanthropy Workshop, Governance Chair of D-Rev, and Audit Chair of The Phillips Brooks School. Previous Board roles include BAAS, EngageClick Technologies, and Active Media Group.

Olana graduated from the Honors Program from the University of Michigan with a double bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Asian Studies. She received her coaching certification from the University of Berkeley, and is a graduate of Stanford's Graduate School of Business Executive Program.

Olana currently resides in Northern California with her husband. She can often be found practicing her coaching skills and management skills on her four young children.
